Classification of measurement survey points of drivers on the boundary of szczecin using symbolic variables

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of classification of 16 points of measurement of drivers on the border of Szczecin based on traffic characteristics such as vehicle type, num-ber of people in the vehicle, destination, purpose, motivation and frequency of travel. Before the classification, the measurement points were characterized by symbolic variables of weights that reflect the frequency of occurrence of the different options of characteristics in drivers' responses. The aim of the paper is to determine points of similar vehicle traffic char-acteristics on the border of the city. The results can be very useful when planning a major restructuring of the hubs of the city.
