Summary/Abstract: This study was conducted to identify the metaphors that vocational school students can produce regarding the concept of "artificial intelligence" (AI), which is one of the most important topics of today. The population of the research was conducted in the 2022-2023 academic year at Kocaeli University Hereke Ö.İ. It consists of 1st and 2nd year students who continue their education in Uzunyol Vocational School Private Security and Protection program. Phenomenology was preferred in this study as a qualitative research technique. To collect data in the study, students were told, “Artificial intelligence is like….” They were asked to complete the sentence "Because;...". The data were evaluated using the content analysis method. In this context, students produced 48 valid metaphors from 97 participants. As a result of the research, the expression "artificial intelligence" was grouped under 3 different categories. As a result of the data obtained, the most recurring metaphors regarding the concept of artificial intelligence were determined as brain (12) and human (12).
