Effects Of Sport Activities On Socialization Of Vocational Students

Summary/Abstract: Social development is expressed as the sum of the knowledge and emotions that one develops, from birth to adulthood, relationships with other people and against them. The most important tools of socialization are family, play and group of friends, school, neighbor, work place, associations, political groups, art activities and mass media. Sports activities are also in these vehicles. This research aims to examine the effects of the students of the Property Protection and Security Department of Kocaeli University Hereke Ö.İ.U M.Y.O on the socialization of sports activities. 195 students attending Kocaeli University participated in the research. The data were evaluated in the SPSS18.0 package program. The answers given in the statistical evaluation of the data were grouped and the percentages, frequencies and averages were determined. ANOVA and t-test were used to find differences between groups. As a result, it has been determined that the level of socialization of sports activities, high school students of the profession is affected by many factors. It can be said that the problems arising from lack of sports lessons and inadequacy of infrastructure in universities are effective in the socialization process of the students.
