Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the analysis of the experiences of people who grew up in families af- fected by alcoholism. The study focuses on a group of adults, called Adult Children of Alcoholics (ADA), who experienced/are experiencing difficulties related to alcoholism of one of their parents during their childhood.The aim of the article is to present the experiences gained from the family home in the opinion of Adult Children of Alcoholics. The analysis included features and properties of the family envi- ronment, relationships with adults – parents, values valued in the family of origin, as well as an assessment of the impact of experiences acquired in childhood on functioning in adulthood.
