Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to report on the card catalogue from the estate of the bibliographer and lexicographer Zdeněk Tyl (1913–2008), which contains material for the identification of the sources of, and the abbreviations found in, Josef Jungmann’s Czech-German Dictionary. The nature of Tyl’s excerpts and the possibilities of using them to identify and pinpoint the sources of Jungmann’s dictionary are illustrated with the example of abbreviations of sources starting with M-.
