Summary/Abstract: The study is aimed at comparatively examining the latest doctrines in Romania and in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in order to identify, as far as the structure and the content are concerned, some similarities and differences between the Romanian Armed Forces Doctrine and NATO Doctrine – Allied Joint Doctrine AJP 01 (D), 2010. The fundamental idea of this approach is represented by the fact that, once doctrinal harmonisation is achieved, the adopted principles and philosophy should be properly implemented.
