THE USE OF POLISH F-35 AIRCRAFT IN AIR MISSIONS. SELECTED ASPECTS

Summary/Abstract: The increase in security threats prompts many countries to modernize their military technically. The introduction of the F-35 aircraft into the Polish Air Force is one of the decisions made by the government to strengthen national security and increase defense capabilities. The F-35 is considered one of the most technologically advanced machines in the world, off ering not only combat capabilities, but also the ability to conduct information and network activities. It is a fi ghter that gives pilots airspace dominance and can deliver key information in real time. Therefore, the aim of this article is to outline the possibilities of using F-35 aircraft in the Polish Armed Forces, based on scientifi c observations. The main research methods of this article include: literature research, analysis and evaluation, and generalization. Based on the experience gained from previous operations, military aviation is of key importance in classic armed confl icts and fulfi lls its purpose by participating in warfare and carrying out combat tasks. A potential task for the Polish F-35 aircraft will be the implementation of the mission of destruction/suppression of enemy air defences SEAD/DEAD, close air support CAS, air interdiction AI.
