TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PROCESS PERSONNEL AS A NECESSARY ELEMENT OF THE SAFE IMPLEMENTATION OF AVIATION OPERATIONS

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the need for theoretical and practical preparation of military aircraft maintenance personnel. The main research methods used in the presented material are: literature search, comparative studies, survey, analysis and evaluation, and generalization. Aircraft maintenance is essential to ensuring the safety of aviation operations, but improper activities related to the aircraft maintenance process contribute to a signifi cant percentage of aviation accidents and incidents. This is because there is a small percentage of incorrectly performed maintenance tasks that occur due to human errors. These are exemplifi ed by incorrectly installed parts, missing elements and omission of necessary inspections. Eff ective countermeasures against errors in the area of technical maintenance require a systems approach. Reducing potential errors related to the maintenance process of military aircraft required organizing training courses for maintenance staff .
