Summary/Abstract: Pedagogical competence of the teacher on any level of education, necessarily includes the ability to develop learning objectives and to check the performance of their pupils/students. The basic requirement is that the methods and assessment tools are used to address exactly the kind of results that the teacher has developed as learning objectives, in other words to satisfy criteria of validity. This article aims to give teachers a tool for developing benchmark tests by establishing correspondence between the classes of learning objectives (Bloom's Taxonomy, cognitive domain) and the types of items that may be part of the evaluation tests.
