Summary/Abstract: The question on language and potentiality is connected with language dimensions of philosophy of the possible. It assumes interest to formation of a linguistic reality, to functioning of a language sign, and in this connection to an outline of pragmatically space of the language person where are shown not only language regularities, but also possibilities. Having in mind the infinite requirement of the person to learn, seize, name, express the relation to all and everything, the analysis of dynamical processes in language today, interest to functioning of language mechanisms, to freedom, from which the language person has language means and «open ways» (Coseriu) language system to produce" sense, undoubtedly are actual. Necessity to address to studying of the phenomenon of potentiality in language arises recently in connection with processes of change of lexical structure of Russian and Bulgarian which owing to the dynamics cannot find so fast reflexion in dictionaries, but first of all in connection with requirements of Russian and Bulgarian teaching as foreign.
