Summary/Abstract: The report reviews the possibility of developing and implementing social innovations through the so-called „living laboratories“, as a tool for developing and piloting innovations, including such in the social sphere. A good practice from Bulgaria related to social innovations is presented – Smart Care Lab - Bulgaria. The author examines the contribution of the quadruple helix stakeholder involvement model (academia, public committees, companies and end users) to collaborate and jointly develop and implement a new solution/product/service in the field of intelligent social care.
