Summary/Abstract: This article delves into the study of the power of words in contemporary Moroccan humor, which, despite its light-heartedness, often participates in the deconstruction of gender relations. The objective is to explore how this humorous discourse can contribute to the perpetuation or deconstruction of a system justifying gender inequalities. This is done in light of a carefully selected corpus: gags from the Marrakech Du Rire 2020 - Humouraji show. By examining the discursive and thematic strategies used, we highlight the power of words in reinforcing gender-based inequalities.
