Summary/Abstract: On November 12, 1859, by High Order of the Day no. 83, of ruler Alexandru Ioan Cuza, the General Staff was established, a reference moment in the development and modernization of the structures of the modern Romanian army. In the evolution process of the modern Romanian army, a number of military personalities from German lands were also distinguished, who, through the positions held within the various structures of the modern Romanian army, made an important contribution to the development and modernization of the military body. The reference interval considered for the presentation of the military activity of these personalities of the Romanian army is between the date of establishment of the General Staff of the Romanian army and the period of the Second World War.
