Conditions determining the use of the endogenous potential of rural areas development in Eastern Poland

Summary/Abstract: The agricultural development of the macroregion of eastern Poland relies on a complete use of the endogenous potential i.e. internal resources of this region (entrepreneurship, human capital, natural resources). These determinants in connection with the EU Common Agricultural Policy pose a great chance for agriculture in the areas of eastern Poland, mainly, by promoting the change of its orientation towards the development of its multifunctionality. The development of small farms relies on producing ecological food and generating incomes on sales of public goods in form of natural environment, landscape and biodiversity.
