Summary/Abstract: In recent decades, the issue of women’s participation in politics has gained increasing importance on the global agenda. From claiming the right to vote to holding leadership positions in governments and international organizations, women have demonstrated that they can and must play an essential role in shaping public policies and society. However, despite significant progress, the presence of women in leadership positions remains insufficient in many corners of the world. This paper aims to explore the multiple facets of female political leadership, highlighting both the achievements and the challenges that women face in this field. We will analyze the structural and cultural barriers that limit women’s access to power, as well as the impact this has on political and social decisions. We will also focus on initiatives and organizations that support women in their political journey, emphasizing the importance of gender diversity for effective and inclusive governance.Through this analysis, we aim to highlight not only the obstacles but also the opportunities that exist to promote greater participation of women in politics, thus contributing to building a more equitable and representative society. In a constantly changing world, female leadership is not only a necessity, but a transformative force that can generate innovative solutions to the problems we face.
