Summary/Abstract: Four aspects of religious pluralism are discussed that help to clarify the meaning of this concept. First of all, it refers to the fact that pluralism is not only diversity, but also its energetic correlation with diversity. Second, it highlights that pluralism does not only mean tolerance, but also the active search for understanding that appears as beyond the lines that draw differences. Third, pluralism is not relativism, but the making of mutual commitments, which means the responsibility to preserve what makes us who we are in the deepest way, even the differences in our beliefs. Fourth, pluralism is based on dialogue, which means speaking and listening to the other, crossing the threshold and entering the religious world of the other and then returning home, enriched by this sacrament of marriage. In light of these approaches, we will summarize four scenarios regarding the future of religion and spirituality worldwide. Through this approach we want to highlight the role of the relationship between Christianity, religious beliefs and religious plurality.
