Summary/Abstract: A poeticdefinition - words apparently do notmatching, notto be usedin one sentence. However,in reference to God they seem tomake sense.This appearsbecause semanticand metaphorical richness, which characterizes poetic language, allows to extractand expresswhatcan not be expressedanddefinedusingonly thelanguage ofscience. The article focuses on thequalitiesof God that are described not by a dogmatic theologianbutby a poet. Twardowskihimselfclearlypostulates that one should not seek toclose God in thesemanticmeaningof anyadjective. However, in his works he oftentakes theeffortnot only to revealbut also to determine God.How andto what extentis it possible with the helpof poetry?- an attemptto answer this questionis the purposeof this article.The method used is the analyzis of poetic texts and then presenting their reference to theattributes of Goddefinedbydogmatic theology.
