THE STRUCTURE OF MEMORY IN ORAL PERSONAL NARRATIVE: Time and space in function of memory

Summary/Abstract: For evoking the events from the past we need to invite the memory. In this invitation the important role have time and space. The event itself and the historical moment become important when they took place in our emotional world and thus we refers as good or bad time, in depend from their influence on us. Although, a place or a space, become important from the moment when relates with our experience. Through some episodes from personal narratives collected from narrators was analyzed the function of factors time and space on evoking the events from the past, as well as their role in relation with emotional situations. By expressing our personal narrative we express our personal identity. This identity, constructed from the space where we live and the time where we act, creates our historical memory.
