ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF ALBANIAN FOLKLORISTIC

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I tried to see the status of the discipline of Folkloristics (academic discipline for the study of folklore) today, compared with the past when it was founded until today as we know the situation. By analyzing the circumstances, no favorable, in which it is functioning today, as well as providing examples from local and international practice, I tried to show the opportunity to change this situation. A change of its status to good, is necessary given that the matter itself (folklore) is created constantly, while the discipline of study, the Folkloristics, each time its space is more narrowed. There is needed changing of theoretical approach, enabling the shifting of focus from "the study of the past" to "new contemporary processes”. Ideas remain open, because changes from within, need, readiness and professional preparation of the group, not the individual.
