Summary/Abstract: Public institutions, the new social of circumstances, have to deal with increasingly complex applications that require precise and essential changes in the operation and activities in these institutions. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the important role of communication in public institutions where it was found that among public officials psychological mechanisms are claiming to work on the rejection and distortion of information and realities that are not consistent with their belief. Besides the function of promotion, public information is the glue between the government and its customers (taxpayers, citizens, interest groups, public authorities, business, etc.). Citizens expect to obtain information which they deem right and no longer accept responses which hide behind the secrecy of administrative decisions.
