Forms of a preliminary evaluation on suppliers – studies results

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the role that has a preliminary evaluation of suppliers in building partnerships with them. The results of study indicates that companies operating in Poland, in order to form partnerships with suppliers by conducting an initial assessment of them, are mainly focused on the analysis of offers, product pricing, possession of certificates for products, possibility of a trial purchase (or they take advantage of a free test of a good material which is offered). Still important in the initial evaluation of suppliers is their implementation of the quality system complying with ISO 9001.
