International standards of management in supply chain

Summary/Abstract: Companies in the logistics sector are obliged to respect international standards of quality management and quality assurance. It is conditioned by the legal requirements as well as customer requirements. The article focuses on the presentation of management standards implemented by most companies in the logistics services, such as normative guidelines for quality management, environmental management, safety management in the supply chain or business continuity management. Companies operating in this sector are also obliged to comply with international guidelines for ensuring the safety of food products as well as pharmaceutical and chemical products.
