Summary/Abstract: The number in the theory of Piaget is defined as a synthesis of two main operations — the class inclusion and serration. The number's construction is closely related to the processes of conservation of quantity and to the processes of reciprocal correspondence. The conservation of uncountable quantity is defined as a complex phenomenon with diversity of processes involved in. Two aspects could be identified: 1. The categorical aspect re¬lated to the underlying category "volume"; 2. The aspect of transformations of the main volume parameters. Logical and infra-logical forms are as¬sumed to be involved simultaneously in the conservation of countable quan¬tity. Space parameters are analyzed as part of the prototype. As a form of analogical mode of information processing they co-exist with logical form of representation, aimed at the same objectives.
