THE ROOM –SCENARY OF THE COUPLE IN CRISIS IN « LES SONGES » BY MARGUERITE YOURCENAR

Summary/Abstract: The filigree love story from the collected dreams published in 1938 by M. Yourcenar is intimately related to the room where it takes place. Sometimes gloomy, like the faded love, sometimes incandescent like devastating passion, the room is never unaware of the feelings of its permanent or temporary occupants. In order to reconstruct this resonating auditorium space I used two transcripts named « L’île aux dragons » et « La jeune fille qui pleure ».
