Summary/Abstract: Irrespective of the fashionable side, foreign language teaching methods have always reflected the most valuable function of any language, i.e. that of enabling communication. All the teaching models have distinctly approached the status of knowledge provider, as well as the target audience and the significance of oral and written expression or that of the lexis. The first part of the present paper discusses the various in-time methods regarding grammar teaching in foreign languages, and proposes a ludic approach to it as it is much easier accepted and adopted by the young audience, as it is the case of first and second year engineering students. With the help of concrete examples used in the classroom, we will try to show how rigid grammar rules can be integrated in a communicative teaching framework. The second part of the paper presents a set of communicative activities (mainly in the oral format, such as games, scenarios, songs) that offer the chance to consolidate the grammatical contents. We believe that such activities do not replace the classical consolidation drills and exercises but they come as a more agreeable supplement. The game, the scenario and the song can provide an efficient means to identify aspects not enough learnt before and then to remedy them based on the notes made by the course participants.
