Summary/Abstract: Highlighting the importance of small and medium enterprises in the market economy does not involve in any way ignoring the role those large companies have in the economy. That is certified by the everyday reality of a set of strong relationships that exists between large and small and medium-sized firms. However, small and medium enterprises constitute the most important sector of business. Government of a State has a key role in creating an enabling environment for SMEs by the laws it supports, by developing appropriate policies in this sector, by implementing various programs, by establishing economic methodologies and procedures, administrative data etc.
