Summary/Abstract: The concept of risk can be defined in many ways, but most of them are basically related to the essential features of this concept. Risk has many meanings; however, the present paper is an attempt to define it from a new approach, focusing on the new values framing the investment processes. Understanding the concept of risk has as a starting point the notion of instability, a term expressing a specific uncertain view towards the future.
