Summary/Abstract: The article researches how prehistory period ethnical and social processes are presented in the latest history textbook (Kретинин, Г. В. История Западной России. Калининградская область: Учебноe пособие для школьников. 6-7 классы. / Под ред. А. П. Клемешева. Российский государственный университет им И. Канта. Москва: ОЛМА, 2007, 224 с., ил.), on Kaliningrad region history. The textbook is for the fifth-sixth grade pupils of Russian schools and is entitled History of Western Russia. The author G. Kretinin (Г. В. Kретинин) deliberates on the validity of ethnical processes on the basis of the investigations carried out by Russian, Polish and Lithuanian archeologists.
