Summary/Abstract: This article presents the European Observatory of Plurilingualism, its objectives, its aims, its structure. Beyond its Internet site and its monthly newsletter, the strong moment in the life of the EOP consists in the European Conference on plurilingualism which gather researchers, decision makers and representatives of the civil society who confront their points of view on the languages and plurilingualism. The 2nd Conference will take place in Berlin on June 18 and 19, 2009. The three major topics are citizenship, education and enterprises and labor. The European Observatory of Plurilingualism published a European Charter of Plurilingualism.
