Summary/Abstract: The third European Conference on Plurilingualism was held in Rome at the “La Sapienza” University from the 10th to the 12th of October 2012, organized jointly by the European Observatory on Plurilingualism and the Association Eurolinguitica-Sud, and chaired by the honorary president Prof. Tullio de Mauro. The main theme was “Languages without Borders, Plurilingualism.” The Conference showed that plurilingualism thanks to its inter- and trans-cultural dimensions is the guarantor for linguistic diversity, creativity under any form and peace. The Conference led to general conclusions and specific conclusions covering the field of education, economy, politics in its national and international dimensions and culture.
