The structure of agribusiness in Poland and its importance in the economy in the context of the EU integration

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to evaluate changes in the internal structure of agribusiness and its share in the national economy in Poland after the integration with the European Union.. In the years 2000-2012 there were small changes in the share of various areas of agribusiness in food production. Growing in absolute expenditures and the results of production and income in the Polish agri-food sector are the symptom of positive changes. All of this contributes to a reduction of agribusiness share in the national economy, which is consistent with the assumptions of the theory of economic development.
