Keywords: Cervantes, Don Quijote, symbol, passing things, immortality
Summary/Abstract: Irrespective of what Cervantes lived and how he lived, he is a living and strong example of a life which inevitably intertwines with another side of reality, which is not immediately accessible, but offers an opening to the other universe, where the obvious modifi es its meaning to make us understand things that would otherwise remain hidden. Without the precise image we want, we are content with the interpretation, as adequate as possible, of the image we’re interested in. Not only does the symbol defi ne something as a different reality, but it can evoke a higher spiritual level. This essay draws attention on some major meanings which can be depicted in the common realities of life
