The Hope of the Last Echo

Summary/Abstract: The essay reveals the deep signifi cance of hope. Hope truly fi nds its fulfi llment in the promises of Jesus Christ the Redeemer. The Redeemer says: “… whoever loses their life for Me and for the gospel, will save it.” (Mc. 8:35) These words can be considered as the fundamental truth of life, what gives real meaning to our earthly existence. We are called to entrust our souls to God, thus receiving His help, which brings redemption. The sense of the word “hope” becomes plenary, unmistakable, purifi ed by its aspiration to the holy and clean things. Immortality is the fi nal hope of man. In support of his assertions, the author brings examples from life and ideas from masterpieces of world literature.
