Apitourism as a form of educational tourism

Summary/Abstract: Tourism has many functions in human life, both for tourists as well as residents of areas visited by tourists. One of the most important functions is the educational function. The study attempts to identify the educational functions of beekeeping tourism, which is understood as spending leisure time on the apiary. It also identifies target groups interested in this form of tourism. Based on the results of the apitourism farms in Małopolska Voivodeship, there is an attempt to determine their educational function. Only for 20% of farms beekeeping formed the basis of the tourist offer, and they can be specified as apitourism farms.
