Beekeeping in Poland – selected economic problems

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identity economic problems which affect the situation in beekeeping sector. The article presents the problems of lack of reliable statistics in this sector and low profitability of beekeeping. The role of beekeeping as a part of agriculture which is responsible for plant pollination is analyzed in the context of no direct benefits from this activity to a beekeeper.
