Dynamic Visual Aids in Arithmetics for Forms IV–V

Summary/Abstract: Dynamic visual aids, their influence on motivation of training, and perception of a training material are discussed in this article. Some brief descriptions of several computer programs adapted for arithmetical training are also presented. In order to use present possibilities, to motivate not only students but also teachers to take interest in mathematics, to show the existing ways of untraditional mathematical training we made an attempt to adapt animation for mathematics lessons. For this purpose we developed a computer program in which explanations of solving the rules of arithmetics by using animation are presented. The content of measures are reviewed in the article, brief explanations of program application and examples of several rules of arithmetics are also presented.
