Summary/Abstract: The problem of this article is revealed by the questions that require a special investigation: What is the competence of school’s heads and teachers in the sphere of computer literacy? What are the attitudes of school’s heads and teachers towards the creation of school as a learning organization and necessity of computer literacy? What features of learning organizations are characteristic to schools? How does computer literacy influence the development of a learning organization? Assurance of education quality becomes one of the essential problems during the period of constant demand of learning, modernizing formal and informal education, a rapid increase of the flow of information. Nowadays in the education system of the Republic of Lithuania computer literacy becomes one of the priorities. The documents regulating the implementation of computer literacy have been prepared. The Board of General Education of the Ministry of Science and education has prepared the standard of general computer literacy of pupils. The standard of computer literacy of teachers has been prepared and affirmed by the Minister of Science and education. The objective of Lithuania to integrate into the European education sphere supposes the necessity to be oriented towards such spheres of education as: quality, accessibility, content, openness, effectiveness. In order to improve the quality of learning standards and preparation of teachers a special attention is paid to the development of information communication technologies. The object of the research – computer literacy in a learning organization. The aim of the research – to evaluate the expression of computer literacy in the context of school as a learning organization.
