Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on written business documents in the workplace environment. Mailed letters have been replaced by brief faxes and e-mail messages, but the effects of the new media on the language used in messages has not been constantly updated through an academic approach. Special emphasis is placed on the structure and the language of interpersonal business communication. Information on the use of written English within a corporate context would meet a real need for more efficient business communication.
