Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Carpathians, part of the Alpine-Carpathian system- Himalayan mountain is distinguished by its performance characteristics to human values, demographic, ethnic homogeneity, biodiversity and rural habitat types. To all these, it is added the ancestral values preserved in popular culture, the creativity and folk customs in Carpathian civilization in general. Analysis of geographical sources of population and housing censuses offered in Romania (preliminary census of October 2011) shows a perfect space traits identified by physical and economic unit. The frequency of the elements underlying the performance Romanian Carpathians, rightly justifies recognition in the Romanian village typology of the Carpathian village type.
