Summary/Abstract: In this study, the foods consumed in Manisa at the beginning of the XVII th century are dealt with. Manisa Şer'iyye Sicili (Manisa Court Register) numbered 13, dated 1599-1609 and prepared as a narh notebook has been used as a main source in this article. In general, the names and the prices of the foods have been mentioned in narh notebook. Nevertheless, some substances except the food have been given in this notebook. The foods mentioned have been classified as grains, flour and flour products, fruits, vegetables, milk products and meat. The foods consumed in Manisa have been compared with the foods mentioned in narh notebooks belonging to the cities such as İstanbul, Üsküdar, Bursa, Balıkesir and Tekirdağ and then the similarities and the differences between them have been shown.
