Intercultural Communicative Competence In Foreign Language Teaching

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to point out the importance of the acquiring the intercultural features in foreign language teaching through the intercultural communicative competence frame. Within the intercultural communicative competence, it is argued that owing ability of having intercultural understanding on cultural differences among one’s own culture and the other’s makes individuals multicultural or bicultural so that they could have the intercultural competency. There are numerous studies on intercultural communicative competence which are focused on an alternative methods against the imitating the language speaker by learning the cultural features in which the foreign language’s cultural area.
