ELEMENTS OF MILITARY ART IN MODERN GUERRILLA WARFARE

Summary/Abstract: The modern guerrilla warfare has become an important component of the contemporary military art, since the conventional conflict is credited with a lower probability. The elements of the military art encountered during such a confrontation are being materialized through a different strategic approach of the relations among space, time and resources that are employed, as well as by specific tactics which lead to the degradation of the enemy’s operational potential, while preserving the own forces’ potential. The military art of modern guerrilla warfare is based on the psychological factor, clandestine posture, simplicity, surprise and represents the real manifestation of the irregular armed confrontation.
