Summary/Abstract: One of the most important characteristic of the adolescence period is changes within social networks. These changes include: changes in quality of parent-child relationships, gradual replacement of peers as an important source of influence, and development of romantic relationships. The main goal of this study was to explore adolescents' perception of quality of relationships with a mother, a father, a sibling, a best friend and a romantic partner. Results present romantic partners as a greatest source of social support, but also as of negative interchanges. Adolescents' perceptions of social support were found to be related across all five studied relationships. The links between the perceptions of negative interactions were found within the out-of-family relations (both friendship and partnership relations).
