Summary/Abstract: The main focus of the research presented in this paper was the analysis of Serbian youth values and the identification of their value-orientation correlates. The research sample consisted of 1.000 adolescents, average age 16, from different parts of the autonomous province of Vojvodina. Research results show that the values of self-actualization and abstract hedonistic-utilitarian values are the most popular ones among Serbian youth. These results indicate that the "culture of narcissism" is present among Serbian youth. Gender differences were found with regard to individualistic orientation and orientation towards other people. We also found significant differences in the degree of rating and the importance assigned to certain values relative to the participants' place of residence. Adolescents from urban areas rated relational values as the most significant, while religious and traditional values were the most popular ones among adolescents from rural areas. The participants whose parents' education level was the lowest and who lived in poorer financial circumstances rated the most highly the values of popularity and social reputation, as well as the hedonistic-utilitarian orientation and religious and traditional values.
