Summary/Abstract: The power of the mind is expressed in its ability to penetrate into the mysteries of the world, diminishing the unknown and opening the way to the freedom of action that characterizes the behaviour of the moral personality as the epiphenomenon of the universe. However, the captive mind is antihuman knowledge, which becomes a source of hatred and the driving force of the phantom-like activity of those who are slaves to destructive ideology or to the lords of mythomanic consciousness and egocentrism. Th e phantoms of the captive mind are the creators of chaos and inhumanity, worthy of mankind’s contempt and moral censure. Barbarogenesis of this kind is no mere commonplace primitivism, but is the height of bloodthirstiness.
