Sustainable development of offshore wind power

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the analysis and assessment of the offshore wind power development in order to fulfill sustainable development principles. The paper is divided on seven parts, in which sustainable development principles are analyzed and discussed. The authoress focuses on the leading pillars (principles) of sustainable development significantly influencing the introduction and the suitable formation of desirable sustainable development of wind power. Offshore wind power has not been implemented in Poland yet. It plays a key role in the EU and has enough potential for meeting ambitious energetic and climate policy targets. The main conclusion of the paper is that offshore wind power is compatible with sustainable development rules.
