Summary/Abstract: In relation to the previous legislation, there is indeed a need for amending Directive 94/45/CE regarding the information and consulting process of employees, thus improving the functioning of the European Work Council and solving the problems encountered in the 14 years of existence of the EWK. The Romanian legislation takes – in identical formulations – the provisions of the Directive.
