Taxonomic method in the examination for environmental competitiveness of poviats of Świętokrzyski Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The evaluation of actions of local governments should take into account, inter alia, financial management, the level of competitiveness and development, human capital and infrastructure. The purpose of this article is to indicate the possibility of using taxonomic methods for the assessment of environmental competitiveness of poviats in Świętokrzyskie for 2003, 2005, 2011, 2012. The competitiveness of regions may be an advantage because of their material resources and intellectual potential. The analysis indicates that both the level of own income and expenditure affect the studied phenomenon. In the analysed context the best are kielecki, sanodmierksi and starachowicki poviats, and the weakest: pińczowski, włoszczowski and kazimierski.
