Territorial embeddedness as a local development factor

Summary/Abstract: In the article embeddedness was defined as taking various economic actions determined by social relationships. The level of embeddedness was assessed by percentage of a given commune residents employed in the company in relation to the total number of people employed in the company and the percentage participation of payments for supplies of goods and services from other companies in the commune against the company’s income. The study involved 107 economic subjects from the rural communes of Liniewo and Lipka.
