Summary/Abstract: Borges loved the milouga and the tango, especially its earlier form. For him, the tango was «an element of urban mythology» and «the foundation of legends». Borges himself wrote lirics for various tangos and worked together with the famous composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla, who revolutionized the tango in the 50s.
